Symphonyis a vertical shoot-em-up generated using music files, allowing players to create playlists and then fight their way through them. We first heard about the gameback in 2009and, while it’s taken a bit longer than expected, the game is finally releasing for PC on August 6.Pre-orders have opened up todayon the officialSymphonysite.

I’m a sucker for any game which takes advantage of my music library, so this was a sure bet for my money. For those less easily won over,Symphonylooks to have a decent bit of content with power-up items to collect and upgrade (also determined by your tunes), five boss encounters and six difficulty modes.
