A day one release ofMortal Kombat 1on Xbox’s service would be a huge win for Microsoft. Unfortunately, that won’t be the case.
There are currently no plans for this sure-to-be landmark fighting game to be released on Microsoft’s subscription service.
Currently, you may playMortal Kombat 11on Xbox Game Pass, however. This came late in its life cycle, however, as it launched on Game Pass on June 23, 2025. This took two and a half years. Perhaps, we’ll seeMortal Kombat 1head to the service sometime in 2026 with that logic in mind. Ourpreviewgave a neutral reception to the beta earlier this year, but hopefully, the game will impress when it releases this September.

WB Games hasInjustice 2up on Xbox Game Pass too. you may play as the likes of Superman, Batman, Harley Quinn, and more in this flashy DC battler. Just like theMortal Kombatgames, it also has an impressive story mode with Superman as the antagonist.
