While Exosuits are always going to have three Supercharged Slots, the number of Supercharged Slots for Starships, Freighter, and Multi-Tool depends upon the respective quality of these vehicles and tools.
When players upgrade the class of Starship, Multi-Tool, or Freighter, additional Supercharged Slots can be unlocked. So if you upgrade a Class C Starship, it will then have two Supercharged Slots instead of one.
How to unlock Supercharged Slots
