Console sales drop again
For the second week in a row all console sales have dropped, but the bigger news may beValkyria Revolution’srelatively low count. Despite the name change,Valkyria Revolutionopened up with 56,416 Japanese sales combined for PS4 and PS Vita. For comparison, in their respective first weeks,Valkyria Chroniclessold 77,267,Valkyria Chronicles 2sold 94,444, andValkyria Chronicles 3sold 102,779.
38k was good enough to land the PS4 version at the number three spot, but combined it is the second most purchased game of the week behind onlyGravity Rush 2. When the first game initially went on sale for the Vita, it sold just over 43,000 copies back in 2012, so this is a considerable improvement.
