Live show reportedly riot-free

[UPDATE:A new English-language trailer has revealed that the girls will indeed be heading West, and will be available in a two-pack, priced at $24.99. No release date as of yet]

In a news it feels like I should have been reporting months ago, Nintendo have revealed thatSplatoon 2hosts Pearl and Marina arefinallybeing made available as part of the amiibo range. The news comes at the end of a week which saw the girls, collectively known as “Off the Hook”, perform theirfirst live concert(footage fromNintendoWire).

The Big N dropped the amiibo reveal at the end of Japan’s Koshien Tournament. The trailer features the besties in their all-new plastic forms. They’re pretty damn good, with both gals looking vibrant in their respective neon colours, whilst vogue-ing like the superstars that they are.

Alongside the new amiibo, some new content was announced for the arena shooter, including the upcoming addition of Tetra Dualies to the game’s arsenal and an all-new stage, Ajifurai Stadium.

Other than this trailer, there is little info on the girls. We don’t have a release date, or any hints as to what features the duo will unlock. For now, I’m choosing to bask in the momentous realisation that I will soon have Queen of the World Pearl to call my very own… and her DJ pal, to whom I’m fairly indifferent.

Now, we just needShantae, and we’re all set.
