During the past week or so, Electronic Arts has been slowly unveiling the first major downloadable content forSSX, piece by piece (literally). Thankfully, most of us missed out on the pre-announcement shenanigans and still get the news anyway: the “Mt. Eddie & Classic Characters Bundle Pack”is coming May 1for $7.99.
Mt. Eddie promises to deliver the “classicSSXexperience” and is inspired bySSX Tricky. It’s got nine drops and includes three unnamed “retro” songs, so this should be pretty darn good. What’s more, the DLC contains seven characters, each with their own snowboard and multiple outfit color schemes.

They’re going to allow players to grab Mt. Eddie and the character line-up separately for $5.99 each; at those prices, though, you might as well just grab the whole bundle. Having long since given up on the prospect ofTrickyorSSX 3re-releasing on XBLA/PSN/Steam, I can dig this. Also, holy crap,Trickycame out in 2001.
