Fingers crossed for a release next Tuesday
Last year, we reported on aratings board listingfor a PlayStation 4 re-release ofApe Escape 2. It still hasn’t come out! Given this recentTrophy listfor the port, though, it likely isn’t too far off. Maybe if I keep telling myself that, it’ll come true. That’s how these things work, right?
The Trophies themselves are fairly standard — capture your first monkey, score three goals in the soccer mini-game, defeat the bosses, that sort of thing — and there is no Platinum. Based on pricing for other “PS2 on PS4” games, $9.99 is probably a safe bet. Maybe $14.99.
There are some definite gaps in my gaming history for PlayStation titles that weren’t re-released in some capacity (or that I foolishly just never got around to trying), and the whole line ofApe Escapegames falls under that category. I’m ready to repent!
