It’s a pretty odd development for sure, but if you recall,Deadly Premonitionwas exclusive to the Xbox 360 for about three years in the US (it launched on PS3 in Japan-only beforecoming here eventually).
Our own Steven Hansen points out thatwhen speaking to Swery himself, he mentioned that Japanese gamers didn’t quite “get”Deadly Premonitionlike the US audience did. So maybe it makes more sense than we think. We’ll find out ifD4can repeat the success ifDeadly Premonitionsoon enough.
