A little over a week after the release of thefirst two episodes ofStar Wars’The Acolyte, an attempt at negatively review-bombing the new series on Rotten Tomatoes has begun.

Seeing anythingStar Wars-related requiring more than one second after its release to gather an avalanche of negative reactions nowadays is already pretty surprising, but this story gets even better. It turns out that the review bombing campaign pretty much ignored the actualStar WarsAcolyteTV series, and accidentally ended up hitting other works whose creators were unlucky enough to name after the word “Acolyte“.

Lol, chodes review bombing a 2008 movie called Acolytes instead of#TheAcolyte, but we’re supposed to take these “critiques” in good faithpic.twitter.com/A7Tz2eeIxG

The biggest victim is a 2008 Thriller calledAcolytes, which is now sitting at 35% Audience Score after a barrage of negativeSW-related ramblings.

Review bombing acolyte the movie, not the star wars tv series

To be entirely honest, I’m yet to watchAcolytes, the movie, not the similarly-titledSWseries, but I’m pretty sure that its only link withStar Warsis Joel Edgerton. I know he plays Owen Lars in one, and a serial killer in the other one —Star Wars Episode III:Revenge Of The Sith,I presume. I’m not sure, though. I have a hard time remembering what happened in the prequels because of all the damage I sustained from watching the prequels. Still, I’m leaving the trailer forAcolytesbelow to let you decide, anyway.

AndAcolyteswasn’t the only victim, asThe Acolyte, aStar Warsfan film also saw a suspicious surge in the 1-star review department that completely destroyed its IMDb rating.

A Star Wars fan film titled Acolyte is getting mistakenly review bombed

This is completely unnecessary because it’s just mean, but also because fan movies don’t fare really well in the ratings department, anyway. I believe that the best thing we can do to help restore the balance is to post the wholeThe Acolytefan movie below:

Sound off in the comments to let me know if it’s any good!
