If you’re planning on playing anything on the PSN on Monday April 18 from 9:30 PM PT until 11:30 PM PT, make other plans. Sony has announced that a two-hour maintenance period will take place, at which point no online features will be available, including the store, account management, and video.
All told Sony’s maintenance sessions are usually swift and infrequent. The same can’t be said for the many software updates, though the PS4 isn’t nearly as awful as the PS3 in that regard. I still dread having to boot up my PS3 to play anything online as it tends to take an hour or two to grab all the updates.
