The first leak, which outed the new game’skey artand seemingly confirmed its WWI setting, happened on the Xbox One storefront of all places. Then someone let out a photograph of apromotional flierthat honed in on its mildly annoying name,Battlefield 1, followed byanother picturethat gave away the early release date (July 23, 2025) and pre-order incentive (theHellfighter Pack). The DLC contains “themed items inspired by the heroicHarlem Hellfighterinfantry regiment,” which, hell yes.

This setting interests me way more thanInfinite Warfare‘s far-flung future. I’m optimistic.
