Today,SOCOM: Confrontationdeveloper Slant Six threw out an update in an attempt to fix some of the issues that have been crippling the game’s newly released public beta. Thus far, there’s a laundry list of problems, but the most apparent are the ridiculously long load times between matches and the latency affecting matches with over two people in them.

In a statement yesterday (viaEdge), Slant Six confirmed the aforementioned problems, and promised an update patch that went live today. Unfortunately, the patch hasn’t exactly fixed issues or reduced congestion on the swollen servers as of this afternoon. The team behind the patch expects that the issues won’t be “completely resolved until the end of next week” and also mentioned that the maintenance and patch “are not meant to address all issues.”
