As part of today’s Nintendo Direct, Square Enix revealed the open RPGRomancing SaGa 2, originally released back in 1993, has gotten the full remake treatment. TheRomancing SaGaseries allows players to forge their own stories as they choose from an arsenal of main characters and expand their legacy, passing down powers and skills with each generation.Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Sevenis headed to Switch on August 01, 2025.
Based on the trailer, it looks likeRomancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Sevenfeatures some pretty substantial upgrades both graphically and gameplay-wise.
InRomancing Saga 2players must oversee a Royal Court, leading an empire to longevity and prosperity by dictating its economy, technology, city construction, and magic. At its core,Romancing SaGa 2is about prospering over generations as opposed to focusing on the short term.
This is another one I’ve yet to play, primarily because it was originally released in Japan and I just never got around to playing. It looks like a great time to finally get into it with theRevenge of the Sevenremake.
