MMOs are so vast and laden with content that it’s sometimes easy to forget how much work goes into individual objects.PlanetSide 2Senior artist, Roel Jovellanos, walks us through one of his designs, a prototype anti-air defence cannon called the Sky Lance.
Apparently it’s a bloody powerful weapon, able to destroy enemy drop ships in a single shot, but it’s a real energy hog and will render bases vulnerable after it’s fired. It’s a pretty nifty looking gun to boot. I’d love to see another video showing it going from a design to a full 3D model in game.
