Sims 4: Island Living is out today on consoles alongside of a massive rebranding update on all platforms

New main menu, create-a-sim options, and objects The Sims 4is getting a makeover. Okay it’s mostly cosmetic in nature (no not that “cosmetic,” well kinda), but it’s getting one all the same. The game will sport new box art and some UI changes, including a new loading screen and the option to take a personality test when creating Sims. “Over 1000 objects” are also unlocked for build and buy. So yeah it’s mostly just a rework to give the game a new coat of paint after nearly five years, but it’s something....

SNESology delivers hot, original SNES music to your door

We’ve featured musician Shnabubula’s videogame-themedalbumsin thepast, so I’m nothing less than pleased about his latest endeavor. Shnabubula has since invited various artists from the arrangement community to contribute their own SNES-inspired songs to theongoing SNESology initiative. Among thecurrently available tunesare original numbers as well as remakes of pre-existing game tracks in the style of a completely different game....

Sol’s RNG codes (August 2025) [Summer]

Updated: August 06, 2025 We looked for new codes! PlayingSol’s RNGgave me a different fighting experience, breaking the monotony with randomized situations. It can get boring to follow a strict pattern when grinding for XP, but that’s not a thing here. Quests are essential in this game if you want to earn cash and buy upgrades. The last missing piece to make this experience better overall isSol’s RNGcodes. Unfortunately, there are none at the moment, but we are awaiting the code redemption feature in future updates....

This guy played Trombone Champ with a trombone as a controller

It was only a matter of time In my opinion,Trombone Champis one of the best things to happen to gaming all year. It’s easy for anyone to pick up, it’s well-designed, and it’s laugh-out-loud goofy. I was skeptical when I heard someone say it’s a Game of the Year contender, but it only took a few minutes into playing it to make me a believer. Now that the game’s popularity has launched into the stratosphere, thanks to word of mouth on social media, we’re starting to see the mods slowly roll in, which is exciting for someone who is very much a fan of mods....

Thumper in VR is scary and entrancing

Rhythmic dread Today I stopped by the PlayStation booth at PAX East to take a look at a rhythm-hell fever dream that I’ve much looked forward to:Thumper. Youknowyour boy hopped directly into the opportunity to experience Drool’s nightmare running on PlayStation VR. I sat down and was given a brief introduction to the game as well as the PSVR headset (both of which I’ve had no prior experience with), and the next thing I knew I had a controller in my hands, headphones on my head, andThumperin my face....
