One does not simply walk into a MOBA Feast your eyes on this, the third episode of theGuardians of Middle-earthtutorial series. This one is all about the five Guardian classes in the multiplayer fantasy romp — based on archetypes from the books — and what happens once they get their arse handed to them. Nothing particularly interesting is revealed in the tutorial, let alone anything new or surprising. It’s going to take a lot to get me to get off my PC and playing a MOBA on a console; certainly a lot more than attaching it to a popular literary IP....

Ubisoft, in an attempt to pacify the market of young girl gamers out there, have created a new line of games calledImagineto cater specifically to said girls. What type of games do young girls want? According to research, it seems they want to cook, go shopping, take care of animals, and raise babies. The demographic was 6-14, so if you want the frank truth, the baby raising game (titledBabyz, which is just wretched) makes me feel a little uncomfortable....

Killzone 2launched this Friday, backed up by massive preorder numbers and critical acclaim. Despite this, however, Guerrilla’s hot PS3 exclusive has come under fire from critics and fans for a few issues, most notably its control scheme. Answering the ongoing critique, Guerrilla Games producer Seb Downieis adamantthat no changes are needed. “After carefully looking into this, reading the posts, talking to a lot of you directly and analyzing the controls at GG we have come to the conclusion that there are no changes required to the system,” he explains....

Method Man appears in this music video serving as the announcement of a videogame based on the candy brand Sour Patch Kids which will be published by Capcom. Yes,thatMethod Man,thoseSour Patch Kids. No footage of the game, bound for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC this spring appears. It’s just Method hanging in his crib or something while Sour Patch Kids run around and wreak havoc....

Look, I have no doubt thatResident Evil: Revelationswill be a good game, but$50 for a 3DS title? Are we paying $10 for an erasable save spot? Kidding! Kind of. Our recent previewtells us thatRevelationsis huge, has full voice acting, Circle Pad support and a script by Dai Sato, but it’s still a 3DS game, erasable save space or no. So why the price hike? The game requires a 4GB cartridge to hold all of that, says Capcom....

USA Todaybrings usa detailed look atRock Band 3. The brand new 25-key keyboard controller is also revealed. The keyboard can be used as a MIDI keyboard, and the note highway will shift so the correct keys are covered. New guitars are also going to be released along withRock Band 3that take advantage of the new Pro mode. One of the guitars will even be a fully functional Fender guitar! Expect improved UI functions too, such as drop-in-and-drop-out multiplayer and being able to change a song’s difficulty without having to restart....

All episodes expected by the end of the year After weeks of beating around the bush,Batman: The Telltale Seriesfinally has a digital debut window — August on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. I noted “debut” specifically because this is yet another episodic game from the publisher, though they are aiming to have “everything out by the end of the year,” so hopefully we won’t be waiting three months in-between stories. The “world premiere” trailer next week will give us the final release date....
