New video series! Jordan and I positively adoreSpelunky, and it’s a love shared by quite a few of us at Destructoid, having named it thebest console exclusive of 2012. But it’s exclusive no more, and the PC release brings with it the tantalizing promise of competitive spirit through daily challenge stages. Rather than actually get very skilled at the game and compete on the leaderboards, we have chosen to cripple our already limited abilities by adding the pressure of recording every adventure we take into the ruins and sharing them with you in a new series,The Daily Spelunk....

And in my eyes, less of a standalone option I picked up the PlayStation Vita at launch, and still have no regrets. Even though it’s in Early Access,Fields of Mistriahas a lot of quests to complete. Some of them unlock new parts of the story or gameplay features, while others simply give useful rewards. If you’re wondering how many quests are inFields of Mistriaat this time, there are currently 20 main story quests and five side quests that are worth doing simply for the reward. This isn’t counting all of the Request Board quests, or Heart Events with individual villagers....

Revenant Act 2 inDestiny 2has introduced a fair share of new artifact perks, and some of them can be amazing in terms of the current meta. There can be no question marks over just how good Grenade Launchers currently feel on the meta. They have always had a strong spot, but the upcoming perks will make some of them a lot more powerful. Interestingly, you’ll also get an Exotic launcher from the current pass, and combining them with the new artifact perks is only going to make it and all other launchers even better....

Also heeeeere’s Medli Hyrule Warriors: Legendsis gettingmore DLC soon(May 19), and that includes the free Medli character and theWind Wakerpack add-on, which aren’t available on both platforms (3DS and Wii U). The former will be a free download for all across 3DS and Wii U. The latter, however, is only available on 3DS, and will come with 16 new My Fairy costumes and aWind Wakeradventure map. Medli will launch at the same time as the pack....

And a Halloween-themed trailer Dead Rising 3downloadable content will be available in a season pass, according to Capcom. Announced today are details of the title’s season pass offering, which consists of four content packs with new gameplay, playable characters, and missions. Individually, these DLC releases will be priced at $9.99, while the season pass offers a 25% discount on the whole lot at $29.99 and tosses in a bonus “Nick Ramos Tribute Pack” with a muscle car and additional costume....

Hands-on with the early access demo Dead Spacemay be my favorite new IP of this generation. I love its story, its universe, and its stylish delivery of science fiction horror that draws from two of my favorite movies of all time,AliensandEvent Horizon. For the second time in Square Enix’s record label history, the company is publishing a soundtrack produced by an outside game company. A new listing onVGMdbconfirms that a two-disc soundtrack forDragon’s Dogmawill be released by Square Enix on July 02, 2025 for the price of 2,800 Yen ($34 USD). For those who are curious, UTV Ignition’sEl Shaddaiwas the first outside title whose soundtrack was published on the Square Enix label....

Look at all the stupid pre-order crap Square Enix has announced thatDrakengard 3will be arriving on Jul 27, 2025 in North America for the PlayStation 3. Along with the release date they’ve announced a really convoluted pre-order system. Pre-order between today to March 3 and you’ll get the Japanese voiceover DLC, plus two unannounced bonuses. Pre-order between March 4 to April 8 and you’ll get whatever those two unannounced bonuses are....

This time, the word “adorable” is perfectly acceptable. Don’t question it. Once you experience the utter cuteness ofPokepark Wii Pikachu’s Adventure, the skies will part, the sun will shine, and rainbows will come shooting out from the horizon. Really. It just happened as I watched the video. According to Nintendo, the game actually does have a storyline, but mostly me saying “aww” is all I think I’d be doing while playing....

There are a handful of mobile games that I will always go back to.Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride, Angry Birds Space— basically puzzle games. It’s not because I love them, but rather that I love to hate them. They’re simple little games, yet it pisses me off to no end when I f*ck up a level. EnterMotley Blocks, what’s easily going to be my next iPhone game I’m going to rage at for days, and love every second of it....
