Rocksmith 2014has been rated for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One by the ESRB and Korean Game Rating Board, and I’m still sitting here waiting for a new iteration ofGuitar Hero. Although Ubisoft hasn’t announced any new versions of the guitar tutoring game, this has not been the first sighting of evidence of new versions. UK retailer Zavvi is currently listing the game for Xbox One, while in July a now-removed Amazon Italy listing noted that players will be able to transfer purchased DLC from the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the PS4 and Xbox One respectively....

Another patch is live on Steam The developers ofSanctum 2are really taking criticism to heart. As Patrick spoke aboutin his review, he was frustrated that resources would drop at each level’s core, introducing a level of tedium brought about by running back and forth constantly. Also, the lack of resource sharing between players is frustrating, since you often times will find people stealing materials, and the lack of feedback when upgrading towers was puzzling....

If I can be serious for a minute… It seems that the ridiculous and bombastic action ofSerious Sam 4is getting set to detonate on PlayStation 5, as a new brand PS5 listing for the 2020 (really? it was only last year?) release has been spotted on Germany’s USK ratings board. The USK ratingwas registered on November 8, and sees the violent shooter, understandably, bag itself an “18” certificate. Neither developer Croteam nor publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed the presence of a PS5 release, although it was always a plan to eventually release the sequel to console platforms — following its original September 2020 launch on PC and Stadia....

Infinity War WithAvengers: Infinity Warcoming out Friday, Sony is using the hype for Marvel’s next film to promote the upcomingSpider-Mangame by Insomniac. If you pre-order the game (digitally or physically), you’ll receive instant access to the “Iron Spider Suit” once the game comes out. The design is inspired byInfinity War’ssuit, so it looks pretty neat. Along with that, there will also be a “Spidey Suit Pack” that includes things like a punk rock suit and some other assorted outfits....

I’m gonna throw out some suggestions, and hey, maybe a few of them will stick. You probably know exactly what you want – that’s what wishlists are for – but if not, here are games to get you started. Random tip: if you scroll down the Lunar New Year page to the “Popular” list, there’s a tab called “Discount Amount” – it’s a good way to see deep discounts at a glance if you’re looking for budget finds....

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoninghas a lot going for it, and no small part of that is the combat system which lets you combine together a variety of abilities to chain attacks and kill things. The video above does a much better job of explaining it than I do, despite its over-reliance on the word, “fate.” Truth be told, I look atReckoningand I seeFablewithout the hype. I see what’s shaping up to be a deep, capable game with a ton of potential but without all of that fanfare and a ridiculously high level of expectation surrounding it....

Check out everything Destructoid did today The internet is still buzzing about Microsoft’s big “Xbox One” reveal from yesterday…and most of that buzz is not positive. Not only are the fans not thrilled about the lack of backwards compatibility nor the fees involved in playing a game on more than one console, but now indie devs have taken to Twitter to share their displeasure with MS’ new console, and their general attitude towards the indie community....

E3 is a hard place to get a good sense of music in games. The show floor is generally so noisy that you’re lucky if you can hear the attendant next to you telling you how to play the game. Fortunately, game companies are starting to realize the importance of audio in their titles, and headsets are becoming a common sight on the show floor. I kept my ears peeled over the course of the three days of E3, and while not every game here was deserving of its own separate post, I thought a round-up of the top ten soundtracks I’m looking forward to after hearing them at E3 would be a lot of fun to put together....

Make the escape to Coney Island May 28 In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Rockstar has confirmed a PlayStation Network release date for their 2005 brawler based on the cinematic classic,The Warriors. The game will arrive on the service May 28 where it will be priced at $9.99. It’s probably not one of the best games Rockstar has ever made, but it ranks high in my heart. I’m not sure if it stands up to the test of time and it’s been many years since I last played, but I’m ready to give Swan and the gang another chance (and it certainly has to beatthe last attempt at aWarriorsgame)....

Sleep with one eye open Yoshi’s Woolly Worldhas been out in Europe since June, but it’s only now available in North America. During that wait, I mostly forgot about the game’s extensive amiibo support. Compatible amiibo grant a new look for Yoshi, but these aren’t so much costumes as they are telepod experiments gone wrong. (Not that I’m complaining.) You’ve probably seen the mustachioedMario-styleYoshi by now, but what about ROB? Or the Inkling Squid?...

That’s Wii, not Wii U The Wii is not dead, my friends. Despite the fact that pretty much no one is releasing games for it (outside of the upcomingRodeapre-order bonus), Alternative Software Ltd is droppingPSA World Tour Squashnext month on May 22 for the somehow-still-alive console. It’ll feature real pro squash athletes — if you can name even one in the comments, you get a gold star. I played squash when I was younger a few times and actually enjoyed it....

All by the end of 2013 Today Sony announced at their gamescom conference that thePlayStation 4 will be launchingin 32 different countries by the end of the year. Those countries are: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, and Peru. The PlayStation 4 will be out in North America on November 15 for $399, and in Europe on November 29 for €399, and £349 in the United Kingdom....

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo is finally coming to a close, and we’re ready to get back to business as usual onDestructoid TV.
