No matter what Randy Pitchford may have said (including talking aboutBattlebornthemed porn), the game never took with the public, so this new “trial” only makes sense. Launched today for PC and Xbox One (coming June 13 for PS4), the free download grants access to all available modes and maps ofBattleborn, but limits you to a rotating cast of six characters....

The eye-blastingly large screened DSi that was released in Japan late last year is now coming to the West. Not our west, but Europe. Nintendo has announced a March 5th release date for EU for the DSi XL, and I’m guessing that our release date isn’t much farther off. A few months ago, we brought youthe story of Robert Pelloni, a twenty-five year-old game designer who has single-handedly developed an RPG for the DS. Video of the title, appropriately named “Bob’s Game,” was pretty damn impressive, especially for a project undertaken by one person. There’s only one problem. In order to finish the game and get it into stores, Pelloni needs a software development kit from Nintendo. After 17 weeks of waiting for a response from the Big N (they claim the process takes 6-8), he’s decided that drastic measures must be taken....

Two years? Borderlands 3has been out for two years. No way! I refuse to believe it. Okay I checked Wikipedia. And my review. I guess it’s technically a month away from its second anniversary, but Gearbox is celebrating it now with an event. That event is Loot the Universe, which is a returning series of events, actually. Starting today and running through September 9, there’s going to be five weeks of “better drops, with specific types of legendary loot having increased chances of dropping in one of that planet’s zones....

Activision is bringingCabela’s Big Game Hunter 2010on September 29 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. The Wii version is getting some special treatment as it will be packaged with a Top Shot hunting peripheral gun. The Wii version will also see 13 arcade style shooting galleries and four-player multiplayer. The other new features sound pretty interesting too. There’s going to be a system called VITALS where you’re able to see some of the insides of the animals before taking your shot....

It does, however, blatantly reveal one rather significant element of the plot. So, if you’ve held out this long waiting to play the game for the first time on your PlayStation 3, I would advise against clicking on this one. Now, I’ll grant you, this was never going to look like a Square Enix production or anything, but the improvement is noticeable....

When the PS5 was first announced, some fans were shocked to find that the console was going to be white, which was Sony’s first time deviating from a black color scheme for the PlayStation since the gray original console released back in 1994. Thankfully, if you’re not a fan of a brighter look, Sony has also released differentconsole covers and controllersin a variety of colors. First they released Midnight Black and Cosmic Red colors for the console covers back in January of this year (you know, those being the classic gamer colors), but now there are some new variations on the horizon....

As 2021 beckons, it seems that the coronavirus will continue to make its presence felt, with some publishers already forgoing plans for large gatherings in the new year. Epic Games, publisher of the biggest title on the planet,Fortnite, has already announced that it will not be holding any in-person live events for the duration of 2021....

Precursor Games discusses Shadow of the Eternals The crowdfunding campaign forShadow of Eternals, the long-awaited spiritual sequel toEternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, has begun. The title is being developed by Precursor Games, a new studio formed last year from the ashes of Silicon Knights, which hopes to raise $1,500,000 to fund this follow-up to their 2002 GameCube cult classic. Like its predecessor,Shadow of the Eternalsfollows multiple characters across various time periods and settings as a central protagonist attempts to piece together a mystery that is at the crux of these intertwining stories....
