A number of small issues fixed Microsoft has released an update for Xbox 360 consoles today, so be prepared to have to download an update the next time you connect to Live. According to company mouthpiece Major Nelson, the patch corrects errors in a few of the console’s multimedia applications, including Xbox Video closed-captioning, incorrectly displayed playlist names affecting SmartGlass users and some unnamed issue with Xbox Music. The only problem I’m having with my dashboard at the moment is the “Pin to Home” feature....

After allowing players to level up their weapons faster inXDefiantlast weekend, Ubisoft decided to come back and gift everyone another double weapon XP period. Ubisoftconfirmedthat double weapon XP will be available starting Friday at 10 a.m. ET and ending Monday at 1 p.m. ET. This comes after players complained thatXDefiant’sweapon progression is‘criminally slow.’ OneXDefiantplayer claimed it takes over 100 hours to level up one weapon. XDefiant developer Patrick ‘ACHES’ Price clapped back and attempted to reassure fans by claiming that its 3500 XP per weapon level and one kill equals 100 XP....

Targeting a fall 2016 launch in Japan Hot on the heels of announcingYakuza: Kiwami, a remake of the originalYakuza,Sega teased the next numbered entry in the series,Yakuza 6, which is primed for a fall 2016 launch. That window is only for Japan, of course. Sega is just getting around to localizingYakuza 5, which is supposedly receiving a digital-only international release later this year, despite having debuted in Japan way back in 2012....

Please understand Yakuza Ishin, released in concertwith the PS4 in Japanasthe best selling (not-bundled) software, is probably never releasing outside of Japan. SEGA sidestepped localizingYakuza 5to put all its efforts towards developingIshin, and it’ll likely go that way for the next title, until theYakuzaseries is lost to us all (who don’t speak Japanese). But we can live vicariously through thisEdge featureonYakuza Ishin. We can enjoy screenshots of chintzy karaoke minigames we’ll never play....

Officially links Nintendo ID Just in time forSuper Mario Maker‘s release on the horizon, Amazon is offering up downloads for select Nintendo games. In essence, you’ll buy the content, then link your Nintendo ID to the service, and the code will auto-populate for you to enter. From there, if you have automatic downloads enabled, it can be pushed to your device. Basically, it’s the same as buying it anywhere digitally, but people will be able to benefit from using Amazon gift cards and redeeming rewards points....
