Snow Villiers returns The follow-up to theincredibly polarizingduo ofFinal Fantasy XIIIgames,Lightning Returns, has been delayed until 2014. Specifically, it’ll hit North America on February 11th, 2014, and Europe on February 14th. A new trailer is here just in time for E3 which gives us a closer look at the game, including the return of hero Snow Villiers from the core games proper. Right now, it’s only slated for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but a next-gen reveal could be in the cardsnext week at E3....

Master of puppets WhenLies of Pwas first announced, I was awestruck by its concept. An action RPGSouls-like set in a dark Victorian world, where you play as essentially Pinocchio with weapons. It sounds wild! Now, afterseeing some gameplay,Lies of Phas left me with some weird lingering questions. Developer Round8 Studio showed off some alpha gameplay ofLies of Ptoday, setting both the tone of the world and displaying some combat. It’s got a real good look to it, with a ruined city and dark alleyways, softly lit by nearby lamps....

Sony has been visited by Captain Obvious this morning, with Rob Dyer admitting that the price of the PSPgo may have been too high and it turned off consumers. In an odd turn of events, the platform holder has determined that maybe itwassilly to charge more for a product that does less. Who could have imagined? “We wanted to find a way to give the consumers what they want, so if they didn’t want to go to a retailer they could stay at home and download [games and content],” says the publisher relations VP....
