Here’s another post about Halloween content Electronic Arts’ beleagueredAnthemis one of many video games adding creepy content for the month of October, celebrating the witching season that is Halloween. The new event brings Cataclysm to a close and replaces itwith the new “Season of Skulls” event. Already available in BioWare’s sci-fi shooter, Season of Skulls brings a selection of ominous-looking arenas, complete with creepy rewards and unlocks for players who are able to deal with new enemies such as the none-too-pleasant sounding “Ghostly Spiders....

A_Rival is holding a chiptune release party at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco next month for his brand new album. The event is on March 11 at 8:00PM, the same week the Game Developers Conference is in town. CrashFaster, ComputeHer, x|k, Starpause and A_Rival will all be performing some chiptune goodness as well. Prizes will be handed out too for people that can beat A_Rival two out of three matches in theStreet Fighter IVtournament hosted byiPlayWinner....

Everyone’s favorite overseer Good Smile Company has added another iconic video game character to its classy Figma figurine range — This time, it’s the turn of the charming if unnerving overseer of The Nexus,Demon’s Souls’esteemed and much-loved overseer: The Maiden in Black. The sweet demon stands a little over six inches in height, and is sporting the trademark poseability that is a key feature of all Figma models. This allows the Maiden in Black to be posed in a variety of demure and evocative stances, bringing a sense of morose disquiet to anybody’s bookshelf or work desk....

Crude 3D graphics creep me out The Nintendo 64 wasn’t my favorite console. Even on a good day, it doesn’t make my top five. And many of its best games don’t hold up super well if you’re running them on the original hardware. But, all that said, the N64 does warrant a special place in my heart. It was my system of choice during my peak video game rental years, so I got to try out a good chunk of its library — a dream come true as a kid with way too much time on his hands....
