This is because of the Beeb’s upcoming dramaGame Changer,which details the early days of the studio and its hitGrand Theft Autoas well as the much-publicised conflict between Rockstar and lawyer Jack Thompson. In a statement given toIGN, Rockstar Games state it has had no involvement in the production of the 90-minute feature: “Take-Two Interactive has filed suit against the BBC for trademark infringement based on their movie currently titled ‘Game Changer’ as it relates to Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto video game series....

Great news According to WayForward,Shantae: Risky’s Revenge Director’s Cutmight hit Wii U soon. The game has moved into the submissions phase in both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe, and the publisher expects everything to go smoothly. TheDirector’s Cutwill come with a few extras in tow from other versions, like the Magic Mode costume, enhanced visuals, and warps. Risky’s Revengeis currently available on DSi (3DS by proxy), iOS, PS4, and PC....

Just the other dayon the official Xbox Twitch channel, streamer Frank “Techniq” Ellerbe co-hosted a playthrough with Brian Waggoner: lead designer at Crystal Dynamics andMarvel’s Avengersdeveloper. New trailer at GDC will have answers In an uncannyinterview with GameTrailers TV‘s Geoff Keighley, a bandage-coveredJoakim Mogren (theCEO of Moby Dick Studio, supposedly) dodged questions aboutThe Phantom Painbut did go on record to say that he’ll have a new trailer this month at the Game Developers Conference. “It will answer all of your questions,” he told Keighley. Mogren brought along his iPad with concept art and screenshots from the game, the latter of which featured a logo for Kojima Productions’FOX Engine....

Sony hasresponded to questionsposed by the United States House of Representatives’ Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade in an open letter which provides an overview of the ongoing PlayStation Network and Qriocity security breach. The PlayStation Blog has the highlights, including one curious detail: “We discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named ‘Anonymous’ with the words ‘We are Legion.'” That’s an interesting development....

Sonyhas announcedthat their next State of Play is coming up tomorrow (May 30). This kicks off the deluge of streams where publishers show off their upcoming games around the wreckage of where E3 once stood. TheSoulCaliburseries has always been known for its epic orchestral soundtracks, butSoulCalibur Vwill feature something entirely new to the series: an East-meets-West collaboration of composers.
