Brink dev: PC games can’t justify ‘AAA’ budgets

PC games. They have better graphics, better online support and, depending on who you ask, better controls. Despite all these advantages, however, the PC game market has had its death-knell rung several times, and developers don’t seem keen on making computer titles anymore. Among them isBrinkstudio Splash Damage, a developer that hascome out to saythat games designed solely for PC just can’t attract money. “About two or three years ago we realized that we really wouldn’t survive if we only made PC games, since purely making PC games was incompatible with our goal of making triple-A games,” states SD boss Paul Wedgewood....

That’s not the case in Australia. The LandDown Underis somewhat of an amiibo oasis. It might take a little bit of searching, but it’s not entirely uncommon to come across a Little Mac or Villager just chillin’ at some retailer....

Check out this Dark Void: Zero song remix

Dark Void: Zerowas a pretty fun game and it had a really good 8-bit soundtrack by Bear McCreary, which only made it more awesome. The Capcom-Unity guys spotted this remix of the game’s first level made by a Screwattack user named Altair0115. I dig the track, myself. It sounds closer to the sound chip on the Commodore 64 than something the NES would have produced and is pretty polished. I still haven’t finishedDark Void: Zero, myself....
