RIP The Battle.net URLwill live on in our browsers, but the app itself has undergone a name change. Now, when accessing your desktop Blizzard games, you’ll go through the “Blizzard” launcher. The company updated the application this week with “a small makeover to make you feel more at home in the Blizzard universe,” according to the patch notes. The Demon’s Souls remaster will provide nearly 200 in-game hint videos

A lot of people will probably use these! Before Sony first showed off its “card-based” UI for the PS5, there were a lot of questions as to what the PS5’s menus would even look like. But buried underneath the new look and feel was a very curious feature: official guides. As expected, it looks like this idea is mostly limited to first-party Sony games for now (and it remains to be seen how much effort developers will put into it in the future)....

Turrican Soundtrack Anthology seeks Kickstarter funding

TheTurricanseries has admittedly sunken into obscurity over the years, but in the late 80s and early 90s, it was known for pushing the envelope across a variety of platforms including the Amiga, Commodore 64, Atari, Sega Genesis, and Super Nintendo. One of the reasons it’s remained on the minds of fans, however, is due to their impressive soundtracks composed by European game audio legend Chris Huelsbeck. Huelsbeck’s music has been celebrated on numerous occasions, including at a concert dedicated entirely to his works in Germany a few years back, so it’s no surprise that the composer is seeking Kickstarter funding for a new project involving his music....

You can’t escape the worst game ever

39 years ago, on June 24, 2025, theworstvideogameof all time was released. The game,Custer’s Revenge, was made for the Atari 2600 by Mystique, a now-defunct developer that focused on uninspiring unlicensed porn games with titles such asBeat ‘Em & Eat ‘Em. Custer’s Revengeis their most famous game, almost entirely because of its offensive plot, which involves leading cowboy hat-wearing General Custer’s penis into unwitting, tied-up, pixelated Native American women. It’s a universally gross, boring game, but it has a couple of five-star Google reviews because, on the internet, one hopes speaking positively about a heartless, unremarkable porn game might win one “epic internet points....

A Light in Chorus is gorgeous and surreal and I want it

No more patronum jokes, this game is too “deer” to me Sometimes I’m just not jonesing for a rust-colored horizon or cel-shaded paradise.
