This is such aSouls-worthy patch A new update is in town that I’m simply calling theElden RingRadahn patch. It does one thing: it buffs Radahn. Or rather, it re-buffs him back to a more respectable state, after he was “unintentionally reduced” in power from a prior update. Urgent patches have seemingly slowed down a bit, as players really sink into multiple playthroughs and attempt toconquer the platinum trophy. Instead, this update is merely concerned with one thing, and given how intentionally designed boss fights are, it’s kind of an important one....

We’re probably looking at a five year plus Shovel Knight DLC situation TheBloodstainedteam (which is actually now a conglomerate of multiple entities) provided an update on the fabled “big Switch bug fix patch” just recently, and in case you were expecting it soon, you’re going to be disappointed. The latest Kickstarter post explains that although “the bulk of development resources” are still being poured into the Switch fix (which wasgoing to bea series of little fixesand is now one huge one), there is still no ETA on what they’re now calling “a full revamp....

It’s good news if you’re a fan of the Khorne, Ogre Kingdoms, or Orcs & Goblins (not me) because theOmens of Destructionhas you in mind. In addition, all players will receive a content update. Ubisoft, one oftheworstPCpublishersinthebusiness, has decided to further submerge itself in a market it has no business being in. Taking a cue from EA’s Origin, the company is revamping its digital distribution efforts by relaunching the Ubi Store as Uplay PC. As with Origin, the launch is fairly bare-bones, featuring as it does nothing but Ubisoft games. The idea is to unite all these titles under the company’s proprietary Uplay system, adding social features, avatars, achievements, and an under-one-roof storefront — because, of course, we don’t have enough of that stuff already....

New dungeons, trials, and custom deliveries Patch 6.3 ofFinal Fantasy XIVlaunched on January 10th, and with it came a plethora of new content. As is tradition with major odd-numbered patches, most quests released cater to the casual or midcore crowd. In other words, don’t be afraid to get your feet wet discovering what’s new in the game! Only the Extreme difficulty trial will require some preparation before you go into it....

Go fer your Joy-Con, Varmint Natsume’s steampunk-western remake,Wild Guns: Reloaded, has been given a release window for its Nintendo Switch debut. The fast-paced gallery shooter will see both a physical and digital release in April, priced around $30. Wild Guns: Reloadedis an updated edition of the classic SNES game,Wild Guns(naturally).Reloadedhosts additional features missing from the 1994 release, including new characters, weapons, modes and stages. It also supports four player co-op for those who wanna take a compadre into battle against the endless army of outlaws and robots....

Literally Can you believe the Game Music Bundle is on number eight? We haven’t covered every single iteration of it, though the last one got someshameless self promotionhere on Destructoid. That said, this one deserves special mention if only because it includes my favorite album of 2012 as one of the $1 tier unlocks. I havewritten about it before. Archivist is giving up on digital preservation for now Amateur game historian Byuu has suffered a huge setback in his efforts to digitally preserve the entire Super Nintendo (SNES) library after a package containing 100 cartridges was lost in transit. The box contained somewhere between $7500 and $10,000 worth of vintage SNES software on loan from a collector in Frankfurt, Germany. While the parcel made it safely across the Atlantic ocean, it went missing after being transferred to the United States Postal Service in Byuu’s home state of New Jersey....

These games are hot! PAX East was one week ago and I’m still reeling from it. Since I’m apparently an old man now, I’ve been tired for the past few days while trying to wrap up my coverage from the event: I wanted to highlight a couple of games that I didn’t get extensive hands-on time with. These are a few of the indie games from PAX East 2019 that I thought were cool and stuff....
