Chaotic scenes from Capcom TV
Early this morning, Capcom held itslatest Capcom TV live stream, in which we got our first proper glimpse at some newStreet Fighter 6characters in action. Clumsily strutting their stuff for the home audience were newcomers Marisa, Manon, and J.P. who joined series veterans Dhalsim, Dee Jay, and E. Honda for some impromptu slugfests.
Now, without being mean, it must be said that these matches are hardly what you’d call “deep dive character showcases” — featuring a helluva lot of wild button mashing and endless jumping — but the matchesdogive us the opportunity to check out some of the incoming characters normals and specials, along with their respective intro animations, walkouts, win poses, and, perhaps most importantly of all, their “Game Face” options!
TheStreet Fighter 6segment begins at 1:32:00 in the video below. The matches begin at around 1:48:00.

We get to see French FataleManontaking on the heavy beat of returning superstarDee Jay, while all-new fan-favoriteMarisabeats down on the mysterious, (and somewhat sinister), gentlemanJ.P., finally, it’s a welcome dose of the old school, as sumo grandmaster E. Honda squares off against the mystic yoga practitioner, Dhalsim. We also see the attractive Paris stage. We know it’s Paris because there is a cafe, a crepe stand, a mime artist, and the Eiffel Tower. Never change, fighting games.
Anyway, as noted above, the fights themselves are fairly wild, so don’t be looking for any Top Tier Tech, but it’s still great to see these characters finally throwing down in unedited gameplay. It’s worth the entry fee alone for Marisa’s dramatic win pose!
