July 5, $20

Sea of Solitudelooks rife with mystery and despair. What little we’ve seen is a poignant depiction of a young woman coping with loneliness. The physical manifestation is a sinking city and many horrifying monsters.

For obvious reasons, developer Jo-Mei Games and publisher Electronic Arts are keeping the premise broad and unclear. Too many details threatens to undo a game like this. The emotional gut punch needs to stay concealed.
