Barely a few days ago, we let you know our thoughts on theLeague of Legends: Dominionbeta that was going on. If that little peek got your Summoners salivating, then hold on to your butts!League of Legends: Dominionjust released this morning.
Making good on their promise of “delivering the unexpected in 2011,”Dominionwill feature a new map called “The Crystal Scar.” Along with this map, it also introduces a new game type for veterans to tests their Champions on. Players will now battle for control of five Capture Points around the Crystal Scar — the Summoner with the most accumulated points takes all the glory for themselves.
It will be interesting to see how players react to this new game type; if it will be a welcome edition toLeague of Legends‘ already battle-tested formula or if players will want to just sit this battle out. Either way,Dominionmay be the breath of fresh air needed to revitalize the game.
