For Crystal Dynamics’Tomb Raiderreboot, it’s not just the popular heroine that’s getting an overhaul. The franchise’s new look, gameplay hooks, and more are all detailed in the latest issue ofGame Informer— it sounds like a major metamorphosis of a series.
Not mentioned, though is multiplayer. But according to a job listing spotted onGamasutra, Crystal Dynamics is actively looking for a project manager to deal with the multiplayer component of a “major” “action adventure title.”

It’s pure speculation that the title in question is the upcomingTomb Raider, of course. Lara recently took a partner, Totec, in the downloadable titleLara Croft and the Guardian of Light.
Reading about the newTomb Raiderin the latestGame Informer, it certainly sounds like a solid single-player-focused affair. You have to hope that if Crystal Dynamics is planning to add a multiplayer mode toTomb Raider, they’re doing it for the right reasons, and not simply to add a bulletpoint to the game’s fact sheet.
