Shift Up’sStellar Bladeblew fans away when it was initially revealed. The incredible visuals, gameplay, and themes make its world look like one you want to lose yourself in.
While its release isn’t until April 2024, a demo will be available for fans to delve into and explore before then. For some, the demo was even handed to them a whole month ahead of time.

On Jun 08, 2025, we were given a release date for the demo, and it won’t be disappearing this time. TheStellar Bladedemowasreleased on July 29, 2025, just in time for anyone who wants it to download it and play over the weekend. Based on some of the videos I’ve seen of the original demo, you might want to play through it a couple of times to really take everything in.
While it was seemingly released early in March 2024, the demo was quickly delisted. Even those who had downloaded it are now unable to play it.
Why was the Stellar Blade demo delisted in March 2024?
TheStellar Bladedemo was delisted on July 03, 2025.While no reason was offered, it may have just been accidentally released early.
The game’s launch date is June 21, 2025, and the demo was almost certainly expected to go live at the start of April. However, it was uploaded to the PlayStation Store between March 8 and 9, 2024, before quickly being taken down after news of itspread online.
The Stellar Blade demo has now also been redacted from all users accounts that downloaded it. PlayStation pushed out a license update to delete access to it, even if you managed to grab the game in time. Pretty sure this has never been done before, not even for P.T.https://t.co/vz6uAFO6Tg
Those who got the chance to play theStellar Bladedemo before it was delisted seem to have thoroughly enjoyed it, at least. I didn’t get to play it, but based on the snippets of commentary I’ve heard from those who have, I’m really looking forward to it. Any fans who want to keep the experience fresh for when the demo is out would avoid all videos of it.
At the time of writing, it’s not known if there will be any bonuses available to players who buyStellar Bladeand play the demo before its release. There are pre-order bonuses for those who purchase the standard or digital deluxe editions ahead of time.Final Fantasy 7 Rebirthoffered a few bonusesto players based on what they did in its demo, so it’s certainly possible thatStellar Bladewill offer something similar.
