After a year of absence following a successful open-beta, WB’sSuper Smash Bros-like returned with plenty of changes. One of the additions is a wider and even more varied roster, one that now contains characters such as Agent Smith fromThe Matrix, Jason Vorhees from theFriday the 13thseries of movies, and even The Joker from you know damn well where.
One of the best new characters is Banana Guard, which you might know from theAdventure Timeseries. We’ll learn about Banana Guard’s most iconic outfit so far, but first, let’s learn about how to recruit him.
How to unlock Banana Guard in MultiVersus
One of the complaints players have over the second coming ofMultiVersusis regarding the grind factor that wasn’t so prevalent in the game’s previous alteration, which results in characters that are harder to unlock. Luckily, that’s not the case with Banana Guard, as you just need to log in on two different days to unlock it. Yep, that is all.
And congrats, you now have one of the best characters in the game at your disposal. Now, for the bad news:MultiVersusis a neat vehicle for nostalgia, meaning that any player who was born anytime before ’95 would likely love to own a skin inspired byThe Matrix. The Banana Guard Matrix Skin is as simple as it is slick, just a green version of the Banana Guard with the iconicMatrixcode running over it. It is, however, impossible to obtain right now.
This skin is only available through code redemption, and, to make matters worse, the codes were only passed around by the time of the game’s release and had theludicrously short expiration timeof just five minutes. Right now, the Banana Guard Matrix skin isn’t even redeemable for those who might still have a leftover code gained from the promotional stream because those have all expired by now. It’s a popular skin, so here’s hoping that Warner Bros will bring it back to the fold at some point
you may now playMultiVersuswith your friends and enemies on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
