One thing that you should pay attention to inFields of Mistriais cooking because food is the main way to refill your stamina. However, before you can cook something, you need to unlock the recipe.
There are a lot of different ways to get recipes inFields of Mistria, so you’re going to need to do a variety of different in-game activities to find them all.
Recipes unlocked automatically
There are seven recipes available to cook from the very beginning of a playthrough. You won’t be able to get a Kitchen for your house for a while, so you’ll need to visit the Sleeping Dragon Inn to use Reina’s Kitchen.
Request Board Quests
While not every Request from Villagers will result in a recipe, a large number of them do. This is the best way to get free recipes inFields of Mistria, so make sure to keep checking the Board for new quests:
Recipes purchased from Vendors
There are three different Vendors inFields of Mistriathat sell recipes. Once you’ve purchased the available recipes, the tab will remain empty. While not overly expensive, recipes range in price from 150 Tesserae to 600 Tesserae.

Recipes obtained by Shipping items
As you go through the year, you’re likely to grow a wide variety of crops on your farm. It’s a good idea to sell at least one of everything, as almost every item shipped will reward you with a recipe that uses the item as an ingredient. Some foraged items will also provide a recipe after shipping.
These recipes will appear in your Mailbox the morning after shipping the necessary item:
Recipes found in Treasure Chests
Between the Overworld of Mistria and the Mines, there are a variety of different items that can be found in Treasure Chests, including recipes. Treasure Chests in the Overworld can be found by Fishing or Digging, whereas in the Mines, you’ll need to look out for them or get lucky and find a Treasure Room.

Recipes from the Chicken Statue on Sweetwater Farm
There are only three recipes that can be obtained from the Chicken Statue in exchange for Shiny Beads. You’ll need to give 10 Shiny Beads in order to possibly get one of the following recipes:
Recipes from the Wishing Well on the Eastern Road
Like the Chicken Statue, there are three recipes to be obtained from the Wishing Well on the Eastern Road. All of these recipes stand a chance to drop after donating 500 Tesserae to the Well.
Museum Donations
There are three recipes that are obtained through donations to the Museum. Unlike other Museum rewards, you don’t need to complete an entire collection to get these recipes.
Recipes obtained from other sources
There is currently one other recipe to be obtained inFields of Mistria, and it comes from taking part in Josephine’s Cooking Class. This quest can be picked up on the Request Board on Spring 13 of Year 1.
Completing this class will provide you with the recipe for Vegetable Soup.
