Sons of the Foresthas a myriad of options when it comes to powerful weaponry. Some weapons, like the shotgun and firefighter axe, are certainly deadlier than others. But what do you do if you want them to beeven stronger? No, I’m not talking about gluing teeth to an axe blade (how did that even work?). you may find a recipe for an Enchanting Table inSons of the Forestand use it to make some weapons better than ever before.
Granted, you first need to find the recipe. The Enchanting Table recipe is located in the same cave as the mining pickaxe inSons of the Forest. Said cave is in the northeastern section of the map to the east of the snowy mountain and next to a small lake connected to a twin lake via a river.Check out our guideon locating the cave if you need help.
As you explore the cave, you come to a crossroads. The left leads you to a boarded-up entrance you can cut through with an axe. Knock down those planks and walk inside. You’ll find a skeleton with the recipe on the ground next to it.
Materials to find and use for theSons of the ForestEnchanting Table
You can’t use the Enchanting Table with just the recipe. But before that, I suggestpicking a building spot in avery securelocation like your base. Or you can build it in a spot and surround it with walls made of logs. Either way is good, but note thatyou absolutely need to be in a safe area before using the table. Trust me on this.
Materials you need to build the Enchanting Table:
The toughest crafting material in this recipe, in my opinion, is the golf cart battery. You need four to build the Enchanting Table, but you can only carry three in your inventory. What the hell. I managed to track down some busted golf carts with batteries nearby and carry one to my build location. It was a tough walk, but sometimes that’s what you gotta do. The stones are also a pain since you need to find them scattered on the ground. You can’t add them to your inventory.
The final material you need to use the Enchanting Table is Solafite ore. You cangather the resource in caves using the pickaxe. Once you have the table built, walk up to it and add 6 Solafite ore. Now, you may choose a weapon to enchant. Not every weapon can be enchanted. The axes and guns are enchantable, but not the bow or crossbow it seems. Once you add the ore and the weapon, you can activate the table. But wait just a sec!
The natives didn’t like that
Be prepared for a fightbeforeactivating the Enchanting Table. I was caught with my pants down when I turned it on. Lightning began firing from the table and soon it started to rain. Moments later, I got attacked by a freaking mob of mutants who apparently spawned from Hell’s most infected armpit. I had to scramble to survive the fight, but I managed it. Don’t be dumb like ol’ uncle Cam;build a barrier and make sure you’re fully equipped for battle.
It takes roughly 2.5 minutes for the Enchanting Table to finish doing its thing. Once it’s finished, you’re able to remove the weapon and enjoy its new, golden luster.
What does the Enchanting Table do inSons of the Forest?
Enchanted weapons are more powerful. You can see the difference made by going into your inventory and hovering over the enchanted weapon. The orange bar is the additional damage boost offered by the enchantment.
I don’t know how much of a damage boost is added to the guns, mind. I enchanted my shotgun, but you can’t see gun stats in Sons of the Forest. I did find a mutant to test it on, though. I fired once and blew it apart, most limbs flying off at once. So I’d say it’s a bit beefier now.
