As you work your way through the campaign inWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2and start to uncover the truth hiding behind the Tyranid invasion, you’ll encounter the forces of Chaos. Leading those forces is none other than Imurah, a powerful, corrupted Space Marine.

Imurah is a very different foe from any you’ll have fought so far inWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. He flies around the arena in which you battle him and hurls all sorts of Chaos magics your way. I really struggled with this boss fight because it’s afar cry from the Tyranid scumyou’ve been slicing your way through up until this point. However, you may work around every single one of his attacks if you know what you’re doing when you go in.

How to defeat the Imurah boss fight inWarhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Imurah will fly around quickly as you start the fight and summon projectiles that soar your way. Use the pillars around the arena to block these projectiles and shoot any that try to move around them. The skull projectiles will deal a decent chunk of damage and kill you when you least suspect it, so keep an eye out for them and shoot them as they appear.

After you’ve cut down a chunk of Imurah’s health, he’s going to head to the center of the arena and summon some corrupted human and Space Marine enemies. The smaller foes are easy to cut through, but the Space Marines, Thousand Suns, have flamethrowers and hard punches and will knock you down.

My advice here is to get away from the crowd of enemies if you can and shoot or slice through the powerful ones before they build up. These guys can and will gang up on you, so kill them as quickly and safely as possible.

The entire time that enemies are swarming you, make sure you spare a few shots for Imurah. You need to keep damaging him so the boss fight ends. Otherwise, this is going to be a long, drawn-out death.

After a while, Imurah is going to throw another attack into the mix. As he heads to the center of the arena, he’ll charge a red energy that will blast out into the arena. This can damage you and knock you down, so hide from it behind a pillar if you see it charging. It’s an easy attack to dodge, and it feels very silly to die to it.

Finally, you need to be aware of Imurah’s location at all times. He can teleport down and start attacking you, so dodge or parry those blue attacks. If you don’t, he’ll pull out a red one, and those really hurt. You don’t have to attack him while he’s darting around trying to score melee hits, but it’s a good opportunity to get in some powerful slashes with a Chainsword.

Once you reach the final sliver of Imurah’s health, he’ll disappear. You don’t actually get to kill him in this fight because he’s a coward. Of course, you should have expected that because he’s a servant to Chaos and nowhere near as mightily as Titus.
