Typically games in the survival-crafting genre require you to connect to a specific server which will store all of your progress. InNightingale, the entire online structure including server hosting works a bit differently from most. So how doesNightingaleserver hosting work?

Do you need to purchase server hosting forNightingale?

You do not need server hosting to playNightingale. In fact, there is no sort of dedicated servers or any sort of server files you can acquire. One of the biggest features ofNightingaleis the Realm Network. As a core gameplay mechanic, all the procedurally generated Realms inNightingaleoperate on persistent servers hosted by developer Inflexion Games. You won’t need to purchase any sort of server hosting to play.

As you progress throughNightingale, you will acquire various Realm Cards. These Realm Cards can be used to create portals to randomly generated realms based on the parameters in your Realm Cards. Each of these realms is essentially their own shared server, but once again, they are hosted directly on servers hosted by Inflexion Games.

Nightingale Server Hosting

Due to each realm being connected and persistent, there is currently no offline mode forNightingale. In a way, it’s similar to how MMORPG’s work. You will need to be online and connected to the servers in order to do anything. On the flip side, all of your progress is automatically saved in real-time to the server after completing the tutorial. As long as you have an online connection you may play on theNightingaleservers.

That is howNightingaleserver hosting works. It’s all server-side hosted on Inflexion Games servers, and you do not need to purchase any sort of servers to play. Everyone is connected to a persistently online world, and you do not need to connect to a specific server to play.
