Front Mission 2: Remakescreens have appeared on the official Nintendo Store listing

While footage ofthe upcomingFront Missionremakeshas been slim, newFront Mission 2: Remakescreens give us a better look at the project. The screens come directly fromthe Nintendo Store listing, which was updated recently.

In case you haven’t played theFront Missionfranchise before, it’s a classic tactical strategy game from G-Craft/Square Enix (then Squaresoft). It was wildly successful at the time, especially among SRPG fans, which led to these very remakes being dug up in the modern era. Developer Storm Trident and publisher Forever Entertainment (alongside of Square Enix) are handling the remakes.

Here’s a quick brief on the second game, which takes place 12 years after the original:

“12 years have passed since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People’s Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic decline ever since the war ended. In June 2102, soldiers of the Alordesh Army rise up and, led by Ven Mackarge, declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).”

As a reminder,Front Mission 1st: Remakeis out in November, andFront Mission 2: Remakewill be arriving in 2023.Nintendo also announced aFront Mission 3remake projectslated for “the future,” though no window is in sight.
