You know, I’ve just come to accept that Nintendo doesn’t feel like making a newMetroidany time soon. Maybe they’re just not ready. But Konami has us covered with the next best thing: a brand-new 3D/2DCastlevaniain the form ofCastlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate. They brought the 3DS title to gamescom this week, and released some screenshots and concept art along with it.
I have to say thatMirror of Fateis looking like it’ll be one of the best looking games on the system (based off what I can see from the screenshots, of course). If not that, it has anamazingart direction going for it, which you’re able to see in the concept art shots in the gallery below. I’m also assuming it’ll have that classicCastlevaniaformula to make this game a must-have whenever it releases. Hopefully soon? Like, really soon? I could really go for a Metroidvania game right now.
