That bow tie!

Octodad: Dadliest Catchhad a wonderful showing at PAX Prime 2013. I went in with modest expectations coming off of the admittedly rough-around-the-edgesfirst gameand this follow-up ended up being among my favorite games of the show. If you weren’t able to attend the convention, here’s some of what you missed out on with an extra bit of polish.

As exaggerated as Octodad’s movements are, I didn’t find controlling him to be overly awkward or frustrating. That was with a mouse and keyboard, anyway. The game will also support gamepad and even PlayStation Move, which should have an altogether different feeling. We’ll find out next year when the game releases on Steam and PlayStation 4.
