Somehow this is a free update
This is unexpected.Geometry Wars 3: Dimensionsis rolling out a free update across all platforms (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC) on June 14, 2025 that’s large enough to warrant a name change. Going forward, the game will be known asGeometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.
Adventure Mode, the one with boss battles, is adding 40 stages, and the existing score-based gating system for unlocking levels is being tweaked so that it’s easier to get through. You’ll also be able to choose the new Sweeper drone and Detonator super ability (i.e., more stuff to level up).
Hardcore Mode, according to Lucid Games and Sierra, “lets players tackle 20 dedicated levels without using a drone or super, including individual leaderboards for no-loadout purists to compete for high scores.” Terrific excuse to get back intoGeometry Wars 3. (Also, what’s the catch?)
