If you’re one of the cool kids, you know and loveYokai Watch, but if you don’t you should probably get in the know about the game thattook Japan by swarm, has a cool anime with a ghost that sounds and looks like Jonathan Holmes, and a bunch of toys that you just gotta own if you want to be a true weeaboo baller like me.
Nintendo announced a demo version of the upcoming sequel today during its Nintendo Direct to be available in mid-September on the eShop, just before thefull game launches on September 30. Physical pre-orders get medals unique to each version that unlock a special move for the cute mascot cat Jibanyan, and digital versions get Robonyan F or Sailornyan (who is my new waifu; I called her first but I’m into sharing so no worries) as what seems to be exclusive Yokai to unlock. That makes it sound like you’ll need to buy four copies to have everything, and if so, not cool Nintendo!
Most importantly, the titles of the new game?Yo-kai Watch 2with the subtitlesBony SpiritsorFleshy Spirits. Way cooler names thanPokemon SunandMoon, if I say so myself.
