During Chapter 11 ofFinal Fantasy 7 Rebirthyour party splits up. While Cloud, Tifa, and Yuffie go up to the reactor, Cait Sith, Barret, and Aerith poke around in Shinra Manor. During that segment, there’s a locked door that requires a combination.

Finding it isn’t really all that difficult. You might expect an elaborate puzzle or something. Maybe you find each combination number in separate spots around the room. Perhaps there’s a math equation that you have to solve or something.

Yeah, no. The entire combination is behind some dumpsters. Technically, palettes of crates, I suppose.

You don’t even need to move the palettes of boxes to see the code, you can just pivot the camera. The code is located on the east wall of the chamber. Just move the camera so it’s looking along the wall, and you’ll see the combination.

36, 10, 59, 97.

That’s really all there is to it. Plug that combination into the door by rotating the stick. Once it’s in, the door will unlock. By now, you know that you can’t trust Hojo, so act surprised when you find a boss on the other side of the door. I wouldn’t, however, peg him as the sort of guy who scrawls his door code on the wall behind the dumpsters. That’s not very scientific.
