For the second time in Square Enix’s record label history, the company is publishing a soundtrack produced by an outside game company. A new listing onVGMdbconfirms that a two-disc soundtrack forDragon’s Dogmawill be released by Square Enix on July 02, 2025 for the price of 2,800 Yen ($34 USD). For those who are curious, UTV Ignition’sEl Shaddaiwas the first outside title whose soundtrack was published on the Square Enix label.
While the title’s producer, Hiroyuki Kobayashi, brieflyspoke to usabout the game’s music, he only referred to the composer as Makino-san, who can now be confirmed to be Capcom’s own Tadayoshi Makino. His past works includeMonster Hunter 3 (tri)and other titles in theMonster Hunterseries, so get ready for a musical treat.
