Fall damage is a huge thing inDragon’s Dogma 2. Either gravity has gotten harsher in this world for lore reasons I’m yet to learn of in my playthrough, or everyone’s bones have gotten weaker. The laws of (game) physics have never warned us about dying from falling off of such meager heights, so players have been looking for hilariously devious ways to bypass fall damage altogether.
Even the originalDragon’s Dogmafeatured a move calledHelm Splitterthat players could use to negate fall damage — and also to look ultra cool:
Try that onDragon’s Dogma 2, however, and you’ll get completely splattered on the floor.
The closest you’ll get to negating fall damage with a sick move inDragon’s Dogma 2is mitigatingsomefall damage with a lame-looking move, and that’s only a thing if you’re a fighter.
Luckily, there’s hope — so long as,once again, you’re ok with embracing your evil side.
Look out below
Our first technique involves grabbing and throwing one pawn to their literal death. Then, if you’re playing as a Magick Archer, you can revive the pawn from afar via Remedy Arrow, then jump on them to get safely caught mid-air. You need not worry about any sort of well-deserved comeuppance, as thepawns will never betray the Arisen.
The second technique that players have found simply requires you to time a jump so that you fall on the head of a poor NPC. The “Dragon Stomp” is much harder to pull off, but you can do it with any role, and it seems to work wonders if done right — at least for the player side of things.

Finally, there’s this exploit that RedditorAithecaninternetseems to have found. It seemingly uses the animation of an interaction between the Arisen and a pawn to create a brief period of immortality that players can use to land safely without hurting anything other than the pawn’s understanding of physics in the process.

Now, I’d be lying if I told you I know what the hell is happening there, and I’d be a straight-up terrible person if I were to recommend you attempt to replicate those results. None of that looks safe to me,butthat Arisen survives the worst fall I have ever seen inDragon’s Dogma 2and barely loses any HP, so I’m guessingsomeoneshould investigate further.
Dragon’s Dogma 2hasn’t been out for long, so we’re merely looking at the infancy of all the exploits and glitches that speedrunners will soon be abusing to create derangedly hilarious runs. Have you seen any hilarious glitches that I have missed? I’d love to see them in the comments!
You can now stomp on the innocent and claim it was for a greater cause inDragon’s Dogma 2on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
