Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II – Retributionis getting a new Dark Angels Space Marine chapter as a playable multiplayer faction through DLC. But from the sounds of it, it’s more of a cosmetic makeover for the Space Marines than something good.

Tactical Marine, Scout, Assault Marine, and Terminator squads all get a Dark Angels look, and the Force Commander will be replaced by a Dark Angels Company Master. Vehicles will also get a new visual look to distinguish them from the default style. Nothing so far indicates that the Dark Angels will actually have any different skills or units.

The Dark Angels DLC is scheduled for April 6th for, wait for it, $7.50. Having the Dark Angels star in a newRetributioncampaign as well would’ve been nice for that price, but alas. I hope you really, really likeDawn of War IImultiplayer.
