A newCall of Dutyannouncement just hit the internet, but it unfortunately has nothing to do withBlack Ops 7, or any sort of gameplay at all, for that matter.
No, gamers, today’sCoDreveal is that Beavis and Butt-Head are coming toBlack Ops 6andWarzoneas part of Season Four Reloaded. Yes, seriously. The MTV-watching, foul-mouthed teens who haven’t been all that relevant in a couple decades are about to invade your lobby.

This is the first news we’ve gotten about the midseason update for season four, which should be dropping this week on Wednesday or Thursday. The new update should also include a couple of new maps and modes forBO6multiplayer, some modes in Zombies, the Olympia shotgun, the Pickaxe melee weapon, and the return of Rebirth Island Ranked Play inWarzone.
But first things first: Beavis and Butt-Head! This latest collab is the most recent in a long line of increasingly weird ones that seemingly nobody asked for, and the replies toCoD’snews today seem incredulous.
Black Ops 7was revealed a few weeks ago now, for example, but it still does not have a release date, and pre-orders are not yet available. Gamers looking forward to jumping into the nextCoDthis fall will have to wait a bit longer, as it appears BO7’s marketing push is on the back burner whileBO6gets its last few updates in the spotlight.
Warzoneplayers, meanwhile, are still just waiting for playlist updates to bring back the Solo option in battle royale, which has been missing for quite some time and seemingly replaced by the Casual variant.
I do have to wonder, though, just whenCall of DutyNext will take place and whenBO7will be launching. The rest of the content calendar for this currentCoDis looking a bit iffy, with only the final Zombies map launching in season five, some time in July, being confirmed thus far.
