Six videogame music arrangers make rockin’ covers of original chiptunes

If you are a big chiptune nut, you’ve probably heard me make mention of “Chiptunes = WIN,” a chip appreciation group that has released three free collections of original chiptune music over the past year: the originalChiptunes = WIN,ChipWIN Expansion Pack, andchipWINter. Many artists were assembled to make these projects a reality, and fearless ChipWIN leader Brandon Hood couldn’t be more pleased with the reception. I mean, it’s literally hours of awesome bleeps and bloops. Whowouldn’tbe excited by this stuff?

The next little treat in the pipeline isChiptunes = WTFLOL, a six-track EP set to be released after the listening party on8bitX‘s “8 Bit Power Hour,”starting right now at 8:00 PM ESTwhich is now over. In a wild twist, this album doesnotfeature any chiptunes. Rather, six popular videogame music arrangers have selected six tracks from the past three ChipWIN releases to cover in their own signature styles.
