Shaders, skirts and character models, oh my!

Look, it’sBloodstained. WhileRitual of the Nightisn’t quite the same whenIga himself isn’t demonstrating the gameplay to you, I suppose it’s nice to see tangible evidence of the game as a work in progress rather than heady ideal.

This is what$5.7 million in crowdfundingplus whatever capital was raised outside of crowdfunding gets you. Look at those shaders! Admittedly I got bored after about 20 seconds of looking at a stationary character model, but I’m not rushing Iga to finishhis dream gameand don’t mind thumb twiddling until things get even more put together.

Here’s Iga from the video description: “Since the new character shader was so well received, we’ve also made a video of Miriam’s 3D model, reflecting some of the most recent changes we’ve made. We thought cosplayers would especially like to see the back view of her design. The camera is the only thing that moves in the first half of the video; in the second, we’ve demonstrated the shader effect by moving the light source, as well. Please enjoy.”

It’s a nice character model! So much so that people in the YouTube comments are already mad there isn’t enough porn of her.
