Just in case you were in any doubt, 2Khas confirmedunequivocally thatBioShock 2will be heading to the PlayStation 3. Considering 2K is out to make as much money as humanly possible from the franchise, there really shouldn’t have been any question.
There had been rumors that Microsoft wanted another timed exclusive, similar to the originalBioShock, and gossiping fishwives used a recent “Platform TBA” listing for the sequel as evidence of their chattering claims. The publisher has not confirmed whether or not this could still be the case, as there is no word yet on release dates for either console.
I find it doubtful thatBioShock 2will be a timed exclusive, due to its popularity on both systems, but I could always be wrong. It all depends on how deep Microsoft’s pockets are right now. Probably not as deep as they were in 2007.
