Another Worldhad such an iconic beginning, one that rapidly showed this was a game that wasn’t going to screw around, and you’d better pay attention. Even knowing full well how to escape the four-legged beast, it’s still a sequence I find nerve-wracking to this day. The game’s actual intro was cool, too — it’s been adapted for alive-action short film. Watch it above.
If, like me, you felt the credits rolled just as the short was getting started, there’s good news. The team is considering making a longer, 15-minute-or-so film possibly (probably) funded through Kickstarter. During production, support fromAnother Worldcreator Eric Chahi was obtained, but “budget and time constraints” meant not all of the planned shots were made.
“We have a lot concept designs for [the] most recognizable parts ofAnother World,” wrote the filmmakers. “They are our foundation for the next step of our work.”
